R. Clark Associates, Inc. (RCAI) was hired to provide master planning and site planning services for the creation of a commercial planned unit development in Traverse City, Michigan. The design included placing parking behind buildings to create a lively street edge with over 2,000 lineal feet of sidewalks. RCAI’s design also provided for future connections with adjacent properties in order to create an appealing pedestrian oriented, mixed-use property. In addition to guiding the planned unit development through the entitlement process, RCAI staff prepared construction documents and a preliminary grading plan, as well as participated in construction progress meetings on site to ensure site and landscape design were considered during the construction process.
